The Year I Decided to Show Up

From Standing Still to Stepping Forward — My New Beginning in 2026

It’s been a while since I last shared an update on my journey.

As I stepped into 2026, I found myself at a crossroads. My final year was coming to an end, and unlike many around me, I didn’t have a job offer in hand. Looking back, I won’t deny it—I had slacked off at times, like any regular person does. Comfort, procrastination, and self-doubt quietly took over.

But the new year brought clarity.

I made a conscious decision: I will not repeat the same version of myself again.
I chose to stop being “normal,” stop being comfortable with lacking progress, and start becoming better—one step at a time.

Fortunately, I already had a C2C internship offer, which I had mentioned earlier in my blog series. That opportunity became the reason I moved to Bangalore, marking my first step into an independent life. With the help of my college mate—who was also part of the same C2C internship—I settled into a PG near TAP Academy.

That transition wasn’t easy.

Between moving cities, adjusting to a new lifestyle, and handling personal doubts, a lot happened—things I didn’t share here earlier because my head was full of questions about life, career, and purpose. This shift from being a dependent son to living an independent life came with both freedom and responsibility.

The ups?
Liberty, self-decision-making, and a fresh start.

The downs?
PG life—especially the food. It made me deeply appreciate home-cooked meals and the care behind them.

Today, I’ve decided on a new habit: one blog post every week.
This space will now reflect my progress, lessons, struggles, and resolutions for the year.

My Experience at TAP Academy

When I joined TAP Academy, I initially expected a traditional classroom setup—lectures, notes, and monotony. But I was surprised.

Their teaching approach stood out.

Each day included:

  • 2 hours of Java

  • 2 hours of additional learning, including web development and self-development

  • AR-based sessions that made complex concepts easier to understand

They assured us that if we followed their roadmap sincerely, they would guide us toward placements in good companies. That assurance—and their structured plan—gave me confidence. I made up my mind to trust the process and work toward earning my offer letter.

They shared a clear learning roadmap and provided platform access. While I’m still waiting for some of the goodies they mentioned, we did receive a warm welcome and initial materials.

What I’m Learning

So far, the curriculum includes:

  • Core Java

  • Advanced Java

  • Frameworks

  • HTML & CSS

  • JavaScript

  • React

I’ve completed 12 days of focused Core Java classes. Alongside this, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, we had additional sessions:

  • 3 days of placement training (resume building & LinkedIn optimization)

  • 2 days of HTML and CSS

We’ve also been given assignments and progress checkpoints, which are pushing me to stay disciplined and consistent.

Looking Ahead

This journey is still in its early stages, but for the first time in a long while, I feel aligned with my goals. I’m hopeful, focused, and determined to give my best—to learn well, perform well, and finally step into the IT industry with confidence.

This year is about showing up, even on difficult days.
This blog will be my record of that promise.

Have a great time folks!👋
