Six Months to Launch: A Student’s Career Diary

Day 2: Building Myself, Step by Step

Today marks the second day of my blogging journey, and I’ve decided to use this space as a daily activity to reflect on my thoughts, progress, and plans for the future. Writing helps me stay consistent, and I believe it will keep me accountable as I work toward building my career and life.

About Me

I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS). It’s a unique course that blends management with computer science, and honestly, many people don’t fully understand it—including me at times. Like any program, it has its pros and cons, but I’m learning to embrace it as part of my journey.

Right now, I feel I don’t yet have the skills or resume strong enough for interviews. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog—to track my growth and push myself to improve.

Current Focus: Web Development

Today, I spent time learning web development. I already have some basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but my goal is to move toward full-stack development. Since my skills are still at a beginner level, I know I can’t yet compete with others in the open world.

Thankfully, my institution has arranged a placement program, and I’ve received a college-to-corporate internship offer for six months. Before that begins, I want to prepare myself thoroughly.

Resume & Projects

Another big priority for me is preparing a resume. I want to add meaningful projects that showcase my skills. My closest friend is also in the same situation—we’re both under pressure, unsure of what to focus on, but determined to land a job before graduation.

For now, I’ve planned to work on web development projects, even though I’m currently stuck on JavaScript. These projects will strengthen my resume and give me confidence.

Daily Life & Challenges

Today was also my model exam at college. I usually pass by writing what I remember from class lectures, and this time was no different. After finishing the test in the afternoon, I came home exhausted. Instead of being productive, I wasted time on my phone and handled some household duties.

But I don’t want to continue like this. Starting Saturday, I’ve decided to focus seriously on learning, building projects, and preparing my resume. My goal is clear: apply to industries, secure a stipend internship, and step closer to my career dreams.

That’s where I am today—just beginning, but determined. This blog is my way of documenting the journey, one step at a time.

Have a great time, folks!👋
